		<description>Thank you for helping remind us that we ARE tourists here, and being a tourist is not like being a local.  Our experiences of hunger pangs and short tempers (and I&#039;ve certainly felt them) don&#039;t let us &quot;know what it&#039;s like&quot; to live on food stamps any more than going skiing in the U.P. let&#039;s us know what it&#039;s like to go through an upper peninsula winter.

I&#039;m lucky with this. Since I&#039;m organizing the Challenge, I get to talk to all the reporters from across the state and hear people say &quot;oh, yeah, I heard about that.&quot; So I do see our challenge making a difference, especially as the Senate prepares to start writing the rules for food stamps for the next five years.

Is it enough? No more than digging a foundation is enough to build a house. But it is important, and it does bring us one step closer to enough.</description>
